Description
Trailliaedoxa is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Melastomataceae. It is commonly known as the African bloodberry or the scarlet forest bell. The genus was named after the British botanist William Traill, who collected the type specimen in Sierra Leone in the 1850s. There are only two known species in this genus, Trailliaedoxa africana and Trailliaedoxa gracilis.

Appearance
