Description Rafinesquia is a genus of flowering plants in the sunflower family, native to North America. The genus was named after Constantine Samuel Rafinesque, a French-American naturalist. There are only two species of Rafinesquia, Rafinesquia californica, and Rafinesquia neomexicana. These plants are annual or biennial herbs with erect stems.
