Description Knoxia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. It consists of around 40 species that are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and the Americas. The most commonly cultivated species is Knoxia heterophylla, also known as starflower or Mexican knoxia.
