Description Grusonia is a genus of cacti native to North America. The genus is named after the American botanist Donald John Grusz (1926-2017). Grusonia consists of around 20 species of small to medium-sized, ball-shaped or cylindrical cacti. Most species have a green or yellow-green color and are covered in spines or bristles.
