Description Amentotaxus is a genus of small trees and shrubs native to China, Japan, and Vietnam. It belongs to the family Cephalotaxaceae, which also includes the genera Cephalotaxus and Torreya. The genus Amentotaxus contains only two species: Amentotaxus argotaenia and Amentotaxus formosana.
